B.Sc Optometry

About the Course

B.Sc. in Optometry is a 4-year undergraduate program that trains students to become eye care professionals skilled in diagnosing and managing vision problems, eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. The program combines theoretical knowledge with clinical training to develop expertise in optometric techniques, eye examinations, and the use of optical instruments.Optometrists play a vital role in primary eye care, working closely with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers to enhance patients' vision and overall eye health.

Objectives of the Course

  • 1.Train students to examine, diagnose, and treat vision and eye health issues.

  • 2.Enable prescription of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and vision therapy.

  • 3.Teach early detection of ocular diseases and systemic conditions.
